Gutta was born and raised on the southside of Chicago in the Robert Taylor Homes by a single grandmother. He was brought up in church and to believe in God. He joined Macedonia MB Church at a young age, where he sang in the youth choir. By the age 12, he began writing music and performing in talents contests and local talent searches. He was influenced by Kris Kross, MC Brains, Eazy E, NWA, Ice T, Digital underground, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, MC Hammer, Bel Biv Devoe, 2pac ,The Notorious BIG, & The Geto Boys. Giving credit to Twista, Kanye West, R. Kelly, Shawnna, Jeremih, L.E.P, among others for keeping Chicago on the map. He also gives credit to Jay Z for saving hip hop from drowning. These days he looks up to artists such as Lil Boosie, Jeremih, Foxx, Kanye West, Jay Z, Nas, Ghostface Kil! lah, David Banner, P. Diddy, T.I, Bun B, Pimp C (RIP), Webbie, among others. Gutta Boi  is the new kid on the block and has to prove himself worthy of recognition in Hip Hop. Gutta Boi is truly one of Chicago's originals.
